TPU 64D Filament

TPU 64D Filament

TPU 64D Filament is a high-hardness thermoplastic polyurethane designed for applications that require significantly greater rigidity, structural support and resistance to deformation than standard Shore A TPU grades. While retaining the toughness and durability associated with TPU, the 64D hardness provides a firmer feel and improved dimensional stability for demanding functional parts and engineering applications.

TPU 64D Filament is developed for applications that require significantly higher rigidity and structural stability than standard Shore A TPU grades. The 64D hardness provides a much firmer material response, helping printed parts maintain their geometry under load while still retaining the toughness, wear resistance and impact resistance associated with thermoplastic polyurethane.

Compared with softer TPU materials such as 90A or 95A, TPU 64D offers reduced deformation, improved dimensional stability and better resistance to compression. This makes it suitable for parts that need stronger mechanical support without moving completely into the behavior of a conventional rigid plastic.

The material can be used for functional prototypes, structural components, protective housings, mechanical accessories, wheels, rollers, brackets and other demanding parts where durability and shape retention are important. Its combination of rigidity and toughness also makes it useful for components exposed to repeated impact, friction or mechanical stress.

For B2B customers, Tecsonar supports bulk orders, private labeling, customized packaging and color development according to project requirements, making TPU 64D Filament a practical option for manufacturers, distributors and 3D printing service providers looking for a high-hardness TPU solution for engineering and functional applications.

Choose the Right TPU Hardness

Tecsonar offers a wide range of TPU hardness options for different application requirements. Softer grades provide greater flexibility and a more rubber-like feel, while harder grades offer increased structural support, dimensional stability and resistance to deformation.

70A
Very Soft
High flexibility with a soft, rubber-like feel and excellent deformation.
75A
Soft & Flexible
Soft and elastic with improved shape retention and slightly greater support than 70A.
85A
Flexible & Resilient
A balanced flexible grade with strong resilience and moderate structural support.
90A
Balanced Flexibility
Increased firmness and shape retention while maintaining reliable flexibility.
95A
Versatile
A widely used TPU grade for general-purpose flexible parts.
98A
Firm
Higher firmness while retaining TPU toughness and resilience.
CURRENT
64D
High Rigidity
High structural support with reduced deformation for demanding functional parts.
75D
Extra Rigid
A high-hardness TPU option for demanding structural applications.

TPU 64D Positioning

TPU 64D is positioned in the high-rigidity range of the Tecsonar TPU portfolio. Compared with Shore A grades, it provides substantially greater resistance to deformation, stronger structural support and improved shape retention while preserving TPU toughness and durability. It is suitable for applications where conventional flexible TPU is too soft but a completely rigid material is not preferred.

TPU 64D Filament is suitable for functional and engineering parts that require greater rigidity and lower deformation than standard flexible TPU materials. Typical applications include structural brackets, protective housings, mechanical covers, wheels, rollers, equipment components, rigid-flexible connectors and customized industrial parts.

Its higher hardness also makes it suitable for components exposed to compression, friction, repeated impact or mechanical loading, such as guide parts, support elements, bumpers, protective edges and durable fixtures.

For prototyping and low-volume production, TPU 64D can be used where designers need more toughness and impact resistance than conventional rigid plastics may provide, but greater structural stability than Shore A TPU grades can offer.
