TPU 85A Filament
TPU 85A Filament is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane designed to provide a practical balance of softness, elasticity and durability. Compared with softer grades such as 70A and 75A, TPU 85A offers improved structural support and shape retention while still maintaining excellent flexibility and resilience, making it suitable for a wide range of functional and customized applications.

Product Description
TPU 85A Filament is designed for applications that require a balanced combination of flexibility, resilience and improved structural support. Compared with softer TPU grades such as 70A and 75A, the 85A hardness provides better shape retention and dimensional stability while still maintaining the elasticity needed for repeated bending, compression and impact absorption.
The material offers good toughness, abrasion resistance and elastic recovery, making it suitable for functional parts that need to remain flexible without feeling excessively soft. Its intermediate hardness also provides a useful transition between highly flexible TPU grades and more general-purpose grades such as 90A and 95A.
With stable extrusion, consistent filament diameter and reliable layer adhesion, TPU 85A can be used for functional prototypes, protective components, flexible housings, wearable products, seals, grips and customized parts. It is especially suitable for applications where a softer material may deform too easily, but a harder TPU would provide more rigidity than required.
For B2B customers, Tecsonar supports bulk orders, private labeling, customized packaging and color development according to project requirements, making TPU 85A Filament a practical option for manufacturers, distributors, 3D printing service providers and brands seeking a flexible TPU with balanced performance.
Flexible Strength for Everyday Functional Parts
TPU 85A Filament offers a balanced combination of softness, elasticity and structural support, making it suitable for parts that need repeated bending, compression and impact resistance without becoming overly soft.
With better shape retention than softer TPU grades, it works well for protective components, flexible housings, grips, wearable parts and other functional applications where both resilience and dependable support are important.

Choose the Right TPU Hardness
Tecsonar offers a wide range of TPU hardness options for different application requirements. Softer grades provide greater flexibility and a more rubber-like feel, while harder grades offer increased structural support, dimensional stability and resistance to deformation.
TPU 85A Positioning
TPU 85A is positioned in the flexible and resilient range of the Tecsonar TPU portfolio. It offers noticeably greater shape retention than 70A and 75A while remaining softer and more compliant than 90A and 95A. This makes it suitable for applications that require repeated flexing, cushioning and impact resistance together with moderate structural support.

Applications
TPU 85A Filament is suitable for flexible parts that need to withstand repeated movement while maintaining better shape retention than very soft TPU grades. Typical applications include protective housings, flexible clips, seals, gaskets, cable components, grips, wearable parts and customized flexible accessories.
Its intermediate hardness also makes it useful for sports equipment components, protective inserts, flexible connectors, vibration-damping parts and equipment accessories where both elasticity and moderate structural support are required.
For product development and industrial applications, TPU 85A can be used for functional prototypes, flexible fixtures, protective components and low-volume customized parts that need to resist repeated bending, compression and everyday handling without excessive deformation.
